Castle Combe itself is one of the prettiest villages in England, so beautiful that it has provided the backdrop for a number of famous films and television productions. Whether you’re walking the village lanes, exploring the surrounding countryside or venturing further afield, The White Hart makes the perfect starting point for discovering this special corner of the Cotswolds.

There is plenty to explore near the village too! From the historic city of Bath and the magnificent Bowood House & Gardens, to the beautiful villages of Lacock, Tetbury and Malmesbury, there’s no shortage of places to explore. Lacock

Step back in time with a visit to the beautiful National Trust village of Lacock, just a short drive from Castle Combe. With its historic cottages, traditional streets and wonderfully preserved character, Lacock feels like a village untouched by time. The former abbey has a fascinating history and is surrounded by peaceful grounds and gardens. It has also become a favourite filming location, featuring in productions including Harry Potter and Pride and Prejudice.

Bath

Just around 12 miles from Castle Combe, the historic city of Bath makes an ideal day trip during your stay at the White Hart. Bath is renowned for its elegant Georgian architecture, Roman heritage and fascinating history. Visit the remarkably preserved Roman Baths, explore the magnificent Bath Abbey and take a stroll along the Royal Crescent before browsing the city's independent shops.
